Tipping Fees

Appliances

Appliance items containing a refrigerant (i.e. Freon) will have a charge of $20.00 per item to recover the refrigerant. Your Waste Pass allows you to drop off one free item containing a refrigerant.

Construction and Demolition (C & D) Material

A fee of $30 per cubic yard is charged for C&D Material. (HST is included). An extra fee is applied for heaped and/or oversized loads.

Residential Program

Residential untagged household waste is subject to a fee of $1.00 per standard size garbage bag measuring 30" x 37". Bag Tags are available for purchase at the Municipal Office or at the Waste Sites with your Waste Disposal Permit/Pass.

Commercial Program

Commercial, untagged, household waste is subject to a fee of $1.50 per standard size garbage bag measuring 30" x 37".

Leaf and Yard Waste

A fee of $20 per cubic yard is charged for Leaf and Yard Waste. (HST is included). An extra fee is applied for heaped and/or oversized loads.

Methods of Payment

Cash or cheque preferred. Cheques made payable to: The Township of North Kawartha. 

Invoices on account are due 15 days after receipt of invoice with $2.00 per month penalty, after 30 days of due date.

After 60 days of non-payment you will receive notice that materials can no longer be invoiced at the Transfer Station sites.
